Ceramics are made from different types of clay and fired to a hard, glass-like state. As such, ceramics are very fragile.

The building process is full of variables that can change the outcome of any piece. With these variables, pieces may crack or break at any stage of the process, and pieces can also be slightly different colors than expected.

Please read the details below to determine how to process returns and exchanges.

ALL refunds, returns, or exchanges will be processed within Runamuk Ceramics.

Please do not attempt to process these transactions through Tehachapi Arts Center.

Returns, Refunds, or Exchanges

Items made “IN STUDIO/IN CLASS”

Hand built or thrown items made in studio, may break during the firing process.

Any hand built, thrown, or bisque items cracked or broken during the firing process OR by fault of Runamuk Ceramics are eligible for discount or replacement.

Items that are broken or cracked due to artists error are only eligible for a discount towards another project.

Bisqueware purchased and completed in studio, that are broken or cracked in the firing process are eligible for refund, replacement, or discount towards another project.

Items finished “AT HOME”

“Play with clay” or bisque items may be completed at home. Bisque items finished outside the studio and broken at home are NOT eligible for replacement, refund or discount.

Bisque or “Play with clay” items that are finished at home are ONLY subject to replacement, refund, or discount IF the item was returned to Runamuk Ceramics for firing in good condition and unbroken and were damaged in the firing process or by the fault of Runamuk Ceramics.

Bisqueware purchased online and shipped

Bisqueware purchased online and shipped are eligible for return, refund, or replacement IF the item was damaged during shipping. Please email [email protected] with order number and proof of damage.

Completed items purchased online or in store

Finished pieces purchased in store may be returned for refund, or exchange within 14 days of purchase if item is undamaged. We require a receipt or proof of purchase.

If you would like to replace a damaged item send us an email at [email protected] to order and purchase a remake of the same item.
